Bay Village Renovation

Boston, MA

This project consisted of the renovation of the lower level of a four story Brownstone. The existing kitchen had never been renovated and contained exposed piping, and electrical ducts throughout its ceiling area. The challenge was to create a new open kitchen with areas to hang and study, and hide all existing piping within a limited ceiling height. The result was an open and functional kitchen, for clients who love to cook and socialized at the same time with their guests. Glass upper cabinets were used to enhance the open feeling, while giving the kitchen the look the client was after. Soapstone countertops, a custom farm sink and new reclaimed wood flooring completed the style of this kitchen. Space under the existing staircase was used for the new bathroom.
